| UN Sonderberater für Sport besucht das Jugend-Sportzentrum in Gatumba, Burundi

Bujumbura/Genf (UNDP/UNOSDP)- Während seiner Afrika-Reise nach Südafrika, Kenya und Burundi besuchte der Sonderberater der Vereinten Nationen für Sport im Dienst für Entwicklung und Frieden, Wilfried Lemke, das neu eröffnete Sportzentrum für Jugendliche in Gatumba, Burundi, nahe der Grenze zur Demokratischen Republik Kongo. Das soziale Sportprojekt ist eins von fünf Initiativen, welches von dem Büro der Vereinten Nationen Sport im Dienst für Entwicklung und Frieden (UNOSDP) als Empfänger des Preisgeldes aus dem UEFA Monaco Charity Award 2010 ausgewählt wurde. Der mit einer Millionen dotierte Preis wurde im letzten Jahr an den UN Sonderberater für Sport und an sein UN-Büro verliehen.
